Fun and safe outdoor play area

Our children at Belfield Montessori Day Nursery have access to secure and supervised gardens which are split into 2 separate areas - the under 2s and over 2s. Visit us in Barnet or call our staff for more details.

Play area for children under 2

Our under 2s area has a playground with a soft surface ideal for each stage of mobility, and a gazebo which provides a complete enclosed shelter whenever required. We have a selection of toys to help develop the babies motor skills, keep fit and have fun. Rest assured that your child’s safety will not be compromised. Play area for children above 2

Over 2s can enjoy a large outdoor area, which offers a planting patch giving the children the opportunity to grow their own fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers. Our over 2s garden is also equipped with a large mud kitchen area which gives children the freedom to play, explore, learn and enhance their imagination. We also have construction and mark making sheds, climbing frames, slide, bikes, scooters, cars and a large sandpit.

Helping your child to be adventurous

To keep your child happy, content and engaged with their surroundings, our policy on outdoor play ensures children enjoy the outdoors a minimum of twice daily, with more time spent outdoors whenever possible. As a new parent you will always be asked permission for your child to attend trips. Our annual nursery outing is organised once a year with all children, parents and carers invited to attend.
